The Goblin Box is roughly based on the concept of a theremin, utilizing light sensors instead of radio waves. Two coarse tune knobs allow for a wide variety of sound, from simple tones to static chaos. This video shows it being used alone, then processed through a filter + delay.
the tb666 features "sample and hold your own" technology.
camera sync still not fixed. tb666 still not done, but i was far enough along that i could not resist temporarily closing it up and taking it up to the studio to mess with it.

the random cuts are because my camera sux and does 3 minutes at a time

my mind is already hard at work trying to devise a way to do this with drums instead of synths - it would totally sound like venetian snares.
oh - people for the ethical treatment of microphones, i don't want to hear it. it's just a pg58, and shure has engineered them not to feel pain.
